“New Ross news item” – John Davis, of Lebanon was killed by a Big Four train near Lebanon Tuesday. His remains were brought here Wednesday afternoon and interred at the Dunkard cemetery south of here. The deceased was well known here being raised south of town. He was a brother of Joshua Davis who lives two miles south of New Ross. - kbz

John Davis, aged forty years, a native of Montgomery County, was killed Tuesday at Lebanon, being run over by a Big Four train. He was a barber and worked for this brother, Jesse Davis, at Lebanon. His son, Joe Davis, still resides in this county. - s
